Anither year, another Jazz Fest concert.
Last year it was Diana Krall, this year Michael Bublé. Great concert. I would have put up a scan of the ticket like last year but I'm too lazy to scan it.
Went to Amelio's for dinner with Sandra and Beverly. I was wiped as I had flown all night from LA to Vancouver to Montreal then went to work straight from the airport.
Managed to make it through the night somehow.
Been in California for the past week. My mother passed away last week so that necessitated a trip to California. Won't go into details rightnow but my sister and most of her family came also.
In a way I am looking at this trip a sort of closure to my life in California. No real reason to come back now. Hitting a few of the favorite eating places around family obligations. Leaving tomorrow and still havn't managed to make it to the beach. Will have to squeeze that in tomorrow before my evening flight.
Took my sister and family to the airport this morning and my flight isn't until tomorrow evening so this is now a mini vacation for me although this afternoon was a bit of a bummer as I came down with a headache as soon as I dropped them off at the airport. Cumulative effects of too much drinking and not enough sleep.
Yesterday my sister, brother-in-law and myself took a pilgrimage up to Pasadena to take a look at the old family stomping grounds, will put the pictures up later.
Anyways, going to take a short nap then try to take a run up to Farfax Ave and Canter's, need a good pastrami sandwhich. Have to check out of the hotel by noon but do not have to turn the car in until about 6 so it should afford some running around time providing I can get rid of the headache by then.
